Fundraising is always a mixed path of sharing success while requesting donations to continue the mission. The Greeley Family House just held Summerfest for the 20th year. It remains our signature event, having raised over $1.5 million, allowing us to serve 2000 families, with children, who were unhoused when they came into our program.
I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our generous donors and long-time supporters of our mission – To provide temporary housing and support services for families experiencing housing instability.
This year we raised just over $122,000. These funds will allow us to safely shelter, case management and provide supportive resources to 68 families. This year we will support a family like Susie who was struggling to balance being a single mom, working full-time and attending classes to better her employment. Working with her case manager, she learned to analyze her spending and establish goals for debt repayment. During her time in the program, Susie graduated from AIMS Community College with honors and obtained a position in her chosen field. But the new job introduced additional adjustments. Once she obtained employment and increased her income, her SNAP, Medicaid and educational assistance ended. Again, she turned to her Greeley Family House Case Manager who helped her adjust her budget to the changes and still met her objectives and financial independence.
In closing, thank you for your incredible support. Together we are making a difference in Weld County and Greeley. We invite you to continue partnering with us—whether through future donations, volunteering, or spreading the word—so together we can help even more families thrive.
